Basketball Video for Coach Bechard

This video was created and shared on youtube-it is obviously about the 1996 State Champion basketball team and their one-of-a kind coach! I remember that season very well, because at the time I was still working for Gardner Parks and Recreation and my coworkers brother was on the team. I even helped design the rowdy rag that fans had at the games. It was a very exciting time for Gardner. Coach Don Bechard was inducted into the GEHS Athletic Hall of Fame last evening at the Hospice House. It was a well deserved award for a man who has made such a difference in GEHS athletics and the community as a whole. He is still inspiring so many with his continued amazing fighting spirit-I have read most of the comments on his caringbridge site (I am still getting so many hits-hopefully I helped by showing some the way to his site)-Don & his family are so loved by all-that is obvious.
I wish I would of had the opportunity to know him better.

Coach Bechard

I noticed I was getting hits off of those looking for information on Don Bechard-for those of you who never had the privilege of meeting him, Don has be battling cancer for about 2 years and will soon be going to meet Jesus as his time on earth is short. I wrote a short post on him before that included a video of cool bald guys.
I just checked his website on caringbridge (go to visit and but in coachbechard)and the family is by his his side including his mother whom he has been waiting on.
Don has been a large part of our community as a coach and teacher.He has made a huge difference in many children's lives as well as others whom he has touched in ways he may not even have realized. Please pray for comfort and strength for Coach Bechard's family (Jan, Connor, Lauren, Addison,& his mom and siblings) as they say goodbye to their son, brother, husband, father and part their heart.
His legacy will never be forgotten.

Some really cool bald guys...

I wanted to share a video of some men in our community that have all went BALD-to show their support for our High School Boy's Basketball Coach-Don Bechard who is going through Chemo.for a relapse of cancer. Cancer sucks! Don does have a caringbridge site as coachbechard. Bald is Beautiful and so are all of these guys hearts!!!!

PS after hearing about this my soft-hearted husband went into the bathroom and shaved his head! He is Very BALD! (Being military he had some pretty short hair anyway). So another cool bald guy-picture to come later.
