Boys Suck! well at least one does!

I mentioned the other day about Taylor and Bryan being engaged-hopefully I did not jinx it since tonight he broke up with her. She and her broken in a million pieces heart are downstairs trying to sleep in her room. I am hurting for her of course not sure what to say or do for her. She just returned from her trip tonight and he met her with the news that "they were going down different paths". This is the same guy who sat with me and talked to me for 2 hours about how ready he felt they were to get engaged and then married-before he asked her. I am so angry with him-but on the other hand I saw this coming I just expected it to be her breaking up with him since he wasn't trying to find a better job (he quit his good paying job right after they were engaged) nor was he willing to move closer to her college like was originally planned. He wasn't living up to his end of the bargain but it didn't happen that way. Instead he constantly calls her all weekend acting like a jealous child-then when she gets home he springs this on her. Like I said BOYS suck! at least for now-any ideas how to help my baby girl heal her heart and not go back to this jerk. Three years of her life-so thankful they didn't get married!

Again a really bad weekend!

Poor thing. Hopefully it won't take her long to mend and she'll be able to look forward to the meeting the man she's meant to be with.

She was too good for him! She will look back and realize what a break she caught by not being with him. Mother her, cuddle her and be available for hugs. She comes from a brave family and she will get through this. Hugs to her from me.

You know what- I had the same thing happen to me when I was 22. Dated the guy for 5 years. My family really thought we were a bad match and figured I'd break up with him. Nope! He did it to me. And I was devastated. It is a horrible thing to go through, but you know what? I am so much happier now than I would have ever been if I had married him. I would have never met and married the wonderful man who IS perfect for me. Her world is falling apart - but just remind her that God breaks us open - not to punish us - but rather so He can fill us with blessings. Prayers for you now. I know God will give you the words and wisdom you need.

And if you need us to come help you beat up a boy - just let us know! :)

Thank you all for your thoughts and advice. She is so lost and so sad. I know what she is feeling is completely normal when your world is broken-but I want to fix it for her and for her to see she can go on and grow so much more than with him. I know it is early-and she will bounce back. My biggest fear is she will go back-but I know I can't make those decisions for her-I love her no matter what and she needs to hear me say it and show it. Trying to keep my mouth closed isn't always easy for me. I love that you all care enough to want to help me beat him up :)!!! Thanks for the offer Alice! I did leave a not so nice message for him on his cell phone VM-I had celled him a weasel a couple years ago when he did something stupid to Taylor-so I said he had moved up in the world to f***** Asshole!
Made me feel better!

I am glad he did this before you spent money on a wedding.

This story reeks of another girl. He probably met someone else, good riddance to him!

Now for the important person in this equation, Taylor. I have no profound suggestions, just hug her and be there for her. I believe that things happen for a reason, there is someone out there more perfect for her than he was.

And I LOVE the message you left him! LOLOL go mom!
